🪔 About Vaikunth Chaturdashi
Today is Vaikunth Chaturdashi, the rare occasion when Sri Vishnu and Mahadev are worshipped together. It occurs a day before Dev Deepavali. According to Shiv Puran, Sri Vishnu went to Kashi to worship Lord Shiv. He had vowed to worship Mahadev with a thousand lotuses. Finding one lotus missing, Sri Vishnu decided to offer one of his eyes, since he is called Pundarikaksh (the one with lotus eyes). Pleased with his devotion, Lord Shiv restored Shri Vishnu's eyes and gifted him the Sudarshan Chakra.
