🪔 About Sita Navami

Once, when Rajrishi Janak was ploughing land for a yagna to relieve his kingdom of a famine, he came upon a golden casket. Inside it lay a beautiful baby girl. Taking her to be Mother Earth's answer to his prayers for a child, Maharaj Janak lovingly named her Sita.

Ma Sita, the eternal consort of Sri Ram, is also revered as the Supreme Yogini. Invoke Ma Sita as Sri Ram's Shakti— his feminine principle, on this blessed day of her birth.
