🪔 About Mesh Sakranti/Baisakhi
Baisakhi marks the harvest of the rabi crop. With the golden-tipped wheat crop swaying in the fields, farmers celebrate the success of their hard work. On Baisakhi, people wear new clothes, prepare traditional dishes, and rejoice in the happiness and festivity. For the Sikh community, this day holds special significance, as on this very day in 1699, Guru Gobind Singh Ji founded the Khalsa Panth. Since the sun enters the Aries zodiac sign on this day, it is also known as Mesh Sankranti.
