🪔 About Hartalika Teej

Ma Parvati undertook severe penance to attain Lord Shiv as her husband. Surviving on only three bilva leaves a day and eventually just air, she performed penance (tapas) for many years until the ultimate Yogi's ascetic heart melted with her unwavering devotion.

Today, girls and women worship Bhagvan Shiv and Ma Parvati, celebrating their divine reunion. They sing traditional songs, dance, and retell old kathas.
