🪔 About Dev Deepavali/ Kartik Purnima
On this day, thousands of earthen lamps are lit across all the Ghats of the sacred Ganga to celebrate Lord Shiv's appearance as a Jyotirlinga (endless column of fire) to Lord Brahma and Lord Vishnu and to commemorate Lord Shiv's victory over Asura Tripurasura. Therefore, this day is also known as 'Tripurari Purnima.'
The appearance day of Lord Kartikeya, son of Lord Shiva, is also celebrated today. Defeat the demons of your life. Invite victory. Invoke the divine!
