Adhik Maas is also known as Mal Maas and Purushottam Maas. The full moon (purnima) occuring in this period is called Adhik Purnima. The entire Adhik Maas is dedicated to Lord Vishnu. Worshipping Lord Vishnu on the full moon tithi of Adhik Maas destroys sins and grants liberation. Today brings a rare and sacred opportunity to receive the divine blessings of Lord Vishnu.
